The Big Sky Conference announced its annual All-Conference awards for men’s and women’s tennis on April 22, highlighting the top performers of the 2026 season. Two players from the Idaho men’s tennis team, Chetanna Amadike and Gabriel Moroder, received recognition for their achievements in both singles and doubles play.

These awards are significant as they showcase the strength of Idaho’s program during a competitive season. The honors also mark a return to prominence for Vandals’ singles players in conference accolades.

Chetanna Amadike, Idaho’s senior captain, was unanimously named to the All-Conference First Team in singles after finishing his final season with a 15-9 record. He recorded notable wins against ranked opponents such as Boise State and Gonzaga, and tied both program and league records by earning four individual Big Sky Player of the Week awards this year. Amadike had previously been named Honorable Mention for singles play in 2025.

Gabriel Moroder, a sophomore from Italy, earned an All-Conference Second Team selection after going 12-11 overall with a strong showing in conference matches. Moroder achieved three consecutive victories against Power conference opponents earlier in the season.

In doubles competition, Amadike and Moroder were selected to the All-Big Sky Conference Second Team Doubles after compiling a 12-7 record together during regular season play. This marks back-to-back doubles honors for Amadike.

Idaho’s latest First-Team Singles award is its first since Francisco Bascon won three straight from 2021 to 2023. Since rejoining the Big Sky Conference in 2014 (with no awards given in 2020), an Idaho player has earned First Team Singles honors eight times over eleven seasons.

Looking ahead, Idaho will compete next at the Big Sky Conference tournament on April 23 against Montana State.
