The Big Sky Conference announced on Apr. 30 the conference schedules for the Idaho Vandals women’s soccer team for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
This announcement comes as the league expands from nine to ten teams, following Sacramento State’s departure and the addition of Utah Tech and Southern Utah. Southern Utah is rejoining the Big Sky after spending four seasons in the Western Athletic Conference.
For the 2026 season, Idaho will face Weber State on Oct. 1, followed by games against Idaho State, Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona, Utah Tech, Southern Utah, Portland State, Montana, and Eastern Washington. The schedule continues into 2027 with matches beginning at Idaho State on Sept. 30 and including contests against Weber State, Montana, Portland State, Utah Tech, Southern Utah, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, and Eastern Washington.
With ten teams now in the league lineup each team will play nine conference matches during both seasons. Last year Idaho finished fifth in regular season play with a record of two wins, two losses and four draws in Big Sky competition. The team advanced past Portland State early in postseason play before taking eventual champion Montana to penalty kicks in Missoula.
The expanded schedule reflects ongoing changes within collegiate athletics conferences as programs move between leagues.
