The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue announced on April 30 that it will host a free boat safety class on May 16, 23, and 30. The sessions will begin at 8 a.m. each day and last for six hours.

The classes are open to the public and will take place at 6821 Riverside St, Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Organizers ask participants to bring their own lunch.

This initiative aims to improve boating safety in the community by providing education on best practices while operating watercraft. The Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone interested in learning more about safe boating procedures to attend one of the scheduled sessions.

For additional information or questions about the class, individuals can contact cwatts@boundarysheriff.org.

By offering these classes without charge, the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office seeks to promote safer waterways during the upcoming boating season.
