Idaho Vandals football announced on May 7 that Daemon Fagan, a former four-star defensive back, has signed to join the team for the upcoming season. Fagan is expected to arrive in Moscow in time for summer training and fall camp.
The addition of Fagan comes as the coaching staff continues efforts to strengthen the roster ahead of the 2026 campaign. His signing follows two other recent additions to the team.
Fagan, a 6-foot-3 safety from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, spent his first two college seasons at North Carolina State University in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He redshirted his first year and appeared in one game during the 2025 season, recording a tackle in a win over Campbell.
Before attending NC State, Fagan played at American Heritage High School in Florida. During his senior year, he led a defense that allowed no more than 14 points in eight out of fifteen games and recorded 78 tackles, three interceptions, eleven pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries. In his sophomore and junior years combined, he made forty tackles and six interceptions while helping American Heritage secure a state championship as a sophomore.
Fagan was recognized as a consensus four-star prospect coming out of high school. He was ranked as high as number thirteen among safeties nationally and thirty-eight overall among players from Florida. On3 ranked him twenty-fourth among safeties and fifty-eighth overall within the state rankings. His versatility is expected to make an immediate impact on Lee Stalker’s defensive unit.
