The Idaho men’s basketball team announced on Apr. 20 the signing of junior transfer forward Diego Trejo-Delgado, who will join the Vandals for the 2026-27 season after two seasons at Division II Saint Martin’s.

Trejo-Delgado’s addition comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the team’s roster ahead of next season. His previous performances have earned him recognition and several awards in collegiate basketball.

“Diego is a huge piece of the puzzle for us,” said Alex Pribble following Trejo-Delgado’s commitment. “He brings some real toughness and competitiveness to our team. He’s versatile and can impact the game in a lot of ways. The Vandal community is going to love watching him!”

A native of Camargo, Mexico, Trejo-Delgado played a key role in helping Saint Martin’s tie its program record with 26 wins and secure both the Great Northwest Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles during the 2025-26 campaign. He averaged 15.2 points per game on 49 percent shooting from the field, nearly seven rebounds per contest, and led his team with 30 blocked shots last season. His achievements included earning first-team all-conference honors, four points-rebounds double-doubles, five or more rebounds in each of his last fifteen games, NABC All-District honors, D2CCA All-Region Second Team selection, and GNAC Player of the Week recognition after a standout performance against Western Washington.

Trejo-Delgado becomes Idaho’s second portal addition this offseason alongside Kase Wynott, who was named Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year and holds the title as Idaho high school all-time scorer.
