Idaho Vandals conclude regular season with senior recognition and meets against WSU

Idaho Vandals women’s swimming and diving team will close out their regular season with a series of events, including Senior Day and participation in the NAU Diving Invite. The divers are set to travel to Flagstaff, Arizona, for the NAU Diving Invite at the Wall Aquatic Center from Thursday, January 29 through Saturday, January 31. The competition will feature 1-meter preliminaries and finals on the first day, followed by the 3-meter event on Friday, and platform diving on Saturday. The final day will also coincide with Senior Day for Northern Arizona University.

Meanwhile, Idaho swimmers will compete against Washington State University in their annual two-day dual meet. Friday’s events will take place at Gibb Pool in Pullman, while Saturday’s session moves to Moscow at the UI Swim Center.

Head Coach Mark Sowa and his staff have invited fans to attend Saturday’s home meet early for a ceremony recognizing senior athletes. “We invite Vandal fans to show up early for the 10:30 AM start time on Saturday to honor the Idaho seniors who will be competing for the Black and Gold for the final time in Moscow. , , , , McKenzie Kovalcsik, , , and will be recognized for their contributions to the university and the community as well as the impact they have left on Idaho,” said Sowa.
