Idaho men’s basketball will host Evergreen State at ICCU Arena in Moscow on Sunday for their final non-conference home game of 2025. The Vandals, who currently have a 6-4 record, will face the Geoducks, who are 0-4 this season.

This matchup marks the fifth meeting between Idaho and Evergreen State. Last year, Idaho won decisively with a score of 101-58 in Moscow.

Evergreen State has played only four official games so far this season and lost all of them. Senior wing Tony Frohlich-Fair has been a standout for the Geoducks, scoring at least 18 points in three NAIA games and averaging nearly six rebounds per game while shooting over 43 percent from the field. Sophomore guard Kenzel Massey has contributed two double-digit scoring performances and averages 8.5 points and two steals per game.

Idaho’s roster features five players from Idaho for the first time since the 1971-72 season. The team has also started its home schedule with three straight wins, a first since the 2017-18 season.

The Vandals have distributed scoring across their lineup, with four or more players reaching double figures in seven out of ten games this year. Idaho is currently ranked 137th in the NET rankings as of December 8, which is its highest position since those rankings began in the 2018-19 season.

The program is celebrating its 120th year and remembering former head coach Don Monson, who led Idaho to a Sweet Sixteen appearance and achieved 100 wins during his tenure from 1978 to 1983.

Idaho set a new school record last season by making 308 three-pointers and continues that trend by averaging over eleven made threes per game this year, ranking among the top teams nationally. The team has outrebounded opponents in eight out of nine games so far.

Looking ahead, Idaho will travel to California after finals week for road games beginning against Cal Poly on November 21. That game will be available on ESPN+, Vandal Radio Network, and Varsity Network App.
