Idaho Football head coach announced on May 25 the signing of wide receiver transfer Zack Card, who spent three seasons at Oregon State before joining the Vandals in Moscow.
Card, a 5-foot-9 pass catcher originally from Brentwood, California, recently completed his third season with the Beavers. He appeared in eleven games during that campaign, recording nine receptions for 64 yards. In the season finale against Washington State in Pullman, he caught three passes for 19 yards. As a redshirt freshman in 2024, Card played in all eleven games for Oregon State and made five catches totaling 35 yards while also scoring a rushing touchdown against Purdue.
During his time at Oregon State, Card was coached by Ford—now Idaho’s head coach—who previously served as running backs coach for the Beavers. In his first year with OSU in 2023, Card appeared in four games and preserved his redshirt status while catching five passes, including four receptions in one game.
Card attended Pittsburg High School where he was recognized as a dynamic athlete. Over his final two seasons there, he amassed 71 catches for 1,411 yards and scored fifteen touchdowns through the air along with two more on the ground. Defensively, he recorded 123 tackles and two interceptions during that span. Pittsburg High went undefeated (10-0) in league play over those years and participated in the CIF State Football Championship Bowl Game in 2023.
A former three-star recruit out of high school, Card will join Idaho’s receiver group as an experienced playmaker familiar with top-level college football competition.
