Idaho Vandals secured a 75-67 victory over Weber State Wildcats on Saturday night in Ogden, Utah. The win marked the first time Idaho has achieved back-to-back victories at Weber State since the late 1980s, ending a five-game losing streak at the Dee Events Center that was broken last season.

A standout performance came from a Vandal senior guard who scored a season-high 26 points. This marks his 12th double-figure game of the season and his fifth with at least 20 points. Another key contributor posted his eighth consecutive double-digit scoring effort, with Mitchell averaging 18.5 points per game over this stretch while shooting just above 42 percent from the field.

Rowbury, another senior for Idaho, continues to approach career milestones. With eight points against Weber State, he now has 950 career points and needs just 50 more to reach the 1,000-point mark. Rowbury also collected eight rebounds in the contest, surpassing 600 career boards.

The game began with both teams struggling offensively; Weber State missed its first nine shots in the opening five minutes. Idaho capitalized with a quick 10-0 run and built up to a 19-point lead within the first quarter of play, largely driven by their senior guard’s early scoring.

Free throws became a focal point late in the first half as both teams combined for nearly thirty attempts before halftime. Weber State narrowed Idaho’s lead to thirteen by intermission.

In the second half, Idaho started strong but saw its lead shrink after an eleven-point run by Weber State. However, crucial baskets from Mitchell helped maintain Idaho’s advantage down the stretch. Over the final six minutes and forty-four seconds, Idaho outscored their opponent by seven to secure their fourth wire-to-wire win of the season.

Next week, Idaho returns home for games against Portland State and Sacramento State. Both contests will be broadcast on ESPN+, Vandal Radio Network, and Varsity Network app.

Idaho Athletics recently announced that all student tickets for home events during the academic year are free of charge across football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer sports.
