Mountain View Road and 6th Street Bridge Construction Update

0Comments

The City of Moscow is pleased to announce the completion of construction on Mountain View Rd between Joseph and Sixth St. The corridor and new roundabout are now officially open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Travelers will find a host of safety improvements including wider sidewalks, bike lanes, and crosswalks, including a controlled crossing with a manually-activated rapid flashing beacon at the intersection of Mountain View Rd and 7th St., leading to the Moscow School District Community Playfields.

While initially delayed, construction on the separate 6th Street Bridge Replacement Project continues. Work to date has been focused on relocating utilities and demolishing the bridge damaged by flood waters. Construction will continue through fall with the goal of opening the new bridge to traffic with a temporary surface in December. Completion of the 6th St bridge is anticipated for spring of 2023.

ADA accessibility is a top priority for the City in all projects. If this project, or any other City project is found to be impacting anyone’s ability to access public services, please email ejaccessibility@ci.moscow.id.us or call 208-883-7600.

Every effort is made to adhere to the project schedule; however unforeseen circumstances may require adjustment. For questions about this project, including the project schedule or concerns about resident access, contact the City of Moscow Engineering Division.
