Senator Mike Crapo, chair of the Senate Committee on Finance and a longtime advocate for Idahoans, used his social media platform in April 2026 to highlight financial literacy and natural resource protection in Idaho.
On April 14, Senator Crapo emphasized the importance of financial education by posting, “Financial literacy is a critical skill that empowers Idahoans to take control of their financial futures and build lasting security. This April marks the 23rd anniversary of Financial Literacy Month, a time to focus on the tools needed to manage money, credit and debt wisely.”
Later that same day, Crapo met with representatives from the American Sportfishing Association (ASA), writing, “It was a pleasure to meet with @ASAFishing to discuss the vital role angling plays in the Gem State. In Idaho, our public lands and pristine waters are a significant driver of our economy. I am committed to protecting our public lands to ensure future generations can continue to”.
The previous day, on April 13, he posted an additional message: https://t.co/obPOSdqnB2.

His work includes efforts related to tax reform and assisting constituents with federal agencies. Crapo grew up in Idaho Falls and has raised five children with his wife Susan.
