Senator Mike Crapo, U.S. Senator representing Idaho, posted a series of statements on July 24, 2025, addressing judicial reform and recent federal legislation. The Judicial Reorganization Act mentioned by Senator Crapo proposes splitting up the large Ninth Circuit Court due to its size and caseload backlog. The One Big Beautiful Bill referred to by Crapo has been debated nationally for its sweeping changes to Medicaid funding and rural healthcare investments as well as its inclusion of multiple pro-family initiatives such as increased child tax credits and support for paid family leave.
