In his tweets, Crapo highlighted Republican tax policies affecting service workers and recognized the contributions of the Head Start program to children and families across the country.
On May 21, Crapo wrote: “This National Waitstaff Day, Republican tax relief like no tax on tips and overtime is allowing hardworking Idaho waiters and waitresses to keep thousands of dollars more of what they earn.”

Crapo’s engagement with issues relevant to Idaho extends beyond social media. According to his official website, he has advocated for responsible forest management and natural resource protection. He also grew up in Idaho Falls and raised five children with his wife Susan. Before serving in the Senate, Crapo completed three terms representing Idaho’s Second Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
In addition to his legislative experience, Crapo holds degrees from Brigham Young University and Harvard Law School. As chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, he plays a central role in shaping national fiscal policy.
