The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office announced on May 29 that several roads are closed or impacted due to downed trees following a recent storm. McArthur Lake Road at milepost 4.3 is closed, and Westside Road has multiple trees down, with officials urging drivers to proceed with caution.

The Sheriff’s Office said, “We understand there are more trees than what we have listed that are down. Crews are working diligently to clear roadways while other crews work to restore power to those affected.”

Authorities emphasized the importance of safety around storm damage. “If you encounter a downed power line in the roadway, for your safety do not try to remove it on your own. Please call dispatch and they will notify appropriate personnel,” the statement said.

Residents have been asked to remain patient as crews continue their efforts both clearing debris from roads and restoring electrical service.

No timeline was provided for when all affected areas would be cleared or when full power restoration is expected.
