Russ Fulcher, a U.S. Congressman representing Idaho’s 1st district since 2019, has recently shared insights on various legislative and local issues through his social media platform. Known for his active engagement in state matters, Fulcher's recent posts highlight critical aspects of forest management and tax legislation.

On February 19, 2025, Rep. Russ Fulcher emphasized the importance of enabling local counties and tribes to manage Idaho's forests effectively. He stated that "Ensuring local counties and tribes —in addition to the state—have access to tend to Idaho’s forests is critical to helping mitigate devastating wildfires."

Later that day, Fulcher expressed support for the Death Tax Repeal Act, stating he was proud to be an original co-sponsor of the bill. He explained that "This bill would abolish the federal inheritance tax which puts an unnecessary financial burden on grieving family members and disproportionately hits America’s farming communities and small businesses."

On February 20, 2025, Fulcher reiterated the necessity of involving local stakeholders in land management strategies in Idaho. Reflecting on a recent event he organized, he noted that "Now more than ever, encouraging local stakeholder involvement to help manage Idaho lands is critical." He mentioned holding a wildfire roundtable in Cascade aimed at fostering collaboration among federal, state, and local agencies.
