Idaho's Rep. Russ Fulcher discusses cybersecurity and supports rural legislation

Rep. Russ Fulcher, who represents Idaho’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has been active on social media sharing his engagements and legislative efforts. His recent posts reflect his involvement in addressing cybersecurity, welcoming NASA astronauts back to Earth, and co-sponsoring a bill aimed at supporting rural counties affected by federal land management.

On March 18, 2025, Rep. Fulcher highlighted his participation in discussions with the Idaho Department of Finance on cyber threats and meetings with the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition about legislative priorities. He also mentioned an opportunity to address Vice President during a meeting with the House: "From joining the Idaho Department of Finance to discuss how the U.S. can be prepared to counter rising cyber threats, to meeting with the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition about key legislative priorities, and having the opportunity to address @VP during his meeting with the House…"

On March 19, 2025, he extended a welcome from Idaho to NASA astronauts Wilmore, Williams, and Crew-9 upon their return to Earth. He described it as "A moment of inspiration for the USA" while congratulating all involved: "From Idaho, I want to welcome @NASA astronauts Wilmore, Williams, and Crew-9 back to Earth! A moment of inspiration for the USA and a job well done to everyone involved."

Later that day on March 19th, Rep. Fulcher expressed concern over revenue losses in timber sales due to wildfires linked to federal mismanagement of lands. He announced his co-sponsorship of the Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act as a measure essential for rural counties: "Every year, Idaho loses revenue in timber sales due to wildfires caused by federal mismanagement of federal lands. I am proud to be a co-sponsor of the Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act."
